FLUX 3 Max: a top-rated AI video model that makes a 10-second clip in about 12 seconds

fal released FLUX 3 Max on Monday, built on Black Forest Labs' FLUX 3. It does text-to-video and image-to-video at 720p through fal's API. On Artificial Analysis's preliminary image-to-video leaderboard it scores 1,139, tied for first with Seedance 2.5 and just behind MiniMax H3 at 1,141. fal says it makes a 10-second clip in about 11 to 12 seconds (its release says 10.95 and its product page 12.45), compared with almost 278 seconds for Seedance 2.5. List price is $0.17 per second, about $1.70 per 10-second clip. It's 75% off until Nov 7, which works out to about 43 cents a clip. Billing is pay-per-second with no subscription, and fal says commercial use is allowed.

What this means for you: the speed is the big change. You get about twenty tries in the time one Seedance clip takes. It's API-only, not an app with a monthly plan like Kling. The speed numbers are fal's own tests and the leaderboard is preliminary, so try your own prompts during the discount before switching.
