Which published plan pays for the editor work, and which models are a separate bill. Not a speed test.
Verdict. For a new Grok-and-Cursor subscription, buy The X Subscription instead of a standalone Grok plan plus a standalone Cursor plan. Premium at $30 a month is the tier the announcement compares with the old Cursor Pro bundle. If you need Claude or GPT inside the editor with usage included, that is not The X Subscription: Cursor's legacy plans still include an Other Models pool, Claude Code comes with Claude Pro, and GitHub Copilot Pro is $10 a month for 1,500 credits. We did not time these against each other.

Cursor's help docs say new customers start on The X Subscription. Grok and Cursor share one weekly usage pool. Third-party models such as Claude or GPT are not in the plan. They are billed from the first use, at API list prices, from prepaid credit.
The announcement says Premium includes the benefits of SuperGrok, Cursor Pro, and X Premium+, previously $90 a month combined, at $30 a month, with 4x the Plus usage pool.
X Subscription coding tiers that include more than the free starter: Plus $8, Premium $30, Super $100, Ultra $200 a month. Plus does not include Grok Bot. Premium and above do. A token cap is not printed.
GitHub Copilot Pro is $10 a month for 1,500 AI credits. Pro+ is $39 for 7,000. Max is $100 for 20,000. One credit is $0.01. Completions and next-edit suggestions are unlimited on paid Copilot plans.
Claude Code is included with Claude Pro at $20 a month, or $17 a month on the $200 annual bill, and it shares that plan's five-hour and weekly limits. There is no separate Claude Code sticker on the pricing page.
Cursor still documents legacy individual plans at $20, $60, and $200 a month, with both a Cursor Models pool and an Other Models pool. Those prices are for people who have not moved to The X Subscription.
If you are already on Cursor and the models you run are Claude or GPT, do not switch just to lower the Grok price. The X Subscription drops the included third-party allowance. The Cursor help page says included third-party usage continues until you switch.
If you are starting from nothing and the editor work is Grok in Cursor, Premium at $30 is the first paid tier that the announcement lines up with the old Cursor Pro bundle. Move to Super or Ultra only when the 4x pool is the thing running out. The page does not say how many tokens 4x is.
If the work lives in GitHub and 1,500 credits is enough, Copilot Pro is the lowest published monthly price in this set. If the work is Claude in the terminal, Claude Pro is the plan that includes it.
