Cat Wu, Anthropic's head of product for Claude Code, has left the company.

Wu posted on X Tuesday that Friday was her last day at Anthropic. She wrote that she first tried Claude Code when it was a small internal tool and "steered it for tens of hours but never manually wrote a line of code." She also thanked the teams behind Claude Code, Cowork and Tag. Business Insider reports that Anthropic confirmed her departure and that Wu didn't say why she left. BI notes the timing: Anthropic's IPO is expected later this month, and Claude Code's Thariq Shihipar announced his own exit last month.
