Google announced on Oct 29 that Jules will wind down on December 31, 2026, "as part of our work to unify our agentic coding efforts" ([Jules changelog](https://jules.google/docs/changelog/2026-10-29/)). You can keep finishing sessions until November 11. After that, Jules becomes read-only until the end of the year. Google says what it learned from Jules is going into Antigravity, its agent-first coding platform ([The Verge](https://www.theverge.com/tech/1022729/google-is-sunsetting-its-ai-coding-agent-jules)). Your code, branches and pull requests stay in GitHub, but anything stored only in Jules needs exporting: settings, environment variables, scheduled tasks, connected repos, memories, setup scripts and session history with patches. Google's page explains how: install Jules Tools (`npm install -g @google/jules`), run `jules login`, then paste the export prompt from the page into a CLI coding agent.

*When you'll feel it:* after November 11 you can't run new Jules sessions, so finish anything in progress before then and export before December 31. The export includes your environment variable values, so keep that folder private and out of your repos.
