Ramen, the team behind the Aura game-dev agent, released Autopilot on Friday as a free, open-source plugin under the Apache 2.0 license ([Aura on X](https://x.com/Aura_Assistant/status/2116191580063404100), [GitHub](https://github.com/ramenvr/autopilot)). It installs into Unreal Engine 5.4 to 5.8, Unity 6 or Godot 4.7 and later on Windows or macOS. You give it a plain-English prompt like "verify that the tree shakes when you hit it with an axe", and it reads your project, plays the game in the editor with real keyboard and mouse input, then writes a report. It keeps a memory for each game, so later runs should get faster and play better ([Autopilot page](https://www.tryaura.dev/autopilot/)). It can run on your Aura plan, your own API keys, or your existing Claude Code or Codex subscription. In Ramen's own test (seven tasks in one Unreal 5.8 game), Autopilot passed all seven, Claude Code passed five, and Autopilot was about 1.7 times faster on average ([whitepaper](https://www.tryaura.dev/updates/autopilot-continually-learning-real-time-general-playtesting-system/)).

*Try it:* if you build in Unreal, drop it into a copy of a project and ask it to explore one level or check one feature you just added. Treat the benchmark as the company's own test on a single game, and judge it by what it finds in yours.
