Ideogram's new model makes editable vector graphics from a text prompt or an existing image.
Ideogram Vector makes editable SVG files from a text prompt or an existing image. Prices run from $0.10 to $0.32.
On Thursday, Oct 22, Ideogram launched Ideogram Vector, a model that outputs SVG files instead of regular pictures (Ideogram on X). Most image generators make pixel images, which get blurry when you enlarge them. A vector file, like an SVG, is made of shapes and lines, so it stays sharp at any size and you can change each part. Ideogram says the model makes "clean, editable SVGs with smooth gradients and sharp typography from a text prompt," or turns any image into a detailed vector.

It says you can edit the results in Illustrator, Figma or code, and it shows styles such as engraving, pop art, flat color and line art.

The model is live in the Ideogram app and its API, and it is also available on fal (fal on X). Ideogram's model page lists prices per SVG (Ideogram). Text to vector costs $0.13 at Low quality, $0.16 at Medium and $0.20 at High, or $0.32 at High with reference images. Converting an existing image costs $0.10.

Try it: turn a logo sketch or a simple icon into an SVG and open it in a vector editor like Figma to see how clean and editable the shapes are. Zoom in on any small text and fine detail before you use the file.
