ChatGPT now lets you lock individual chats with a PIN or Face ID.
Locked chats move to their own section, and unlike Temporary Chats you can come back to them any time.
On Oct 20, OpenAI added Locked Chats, which let you secure a conversation with a four-digit PIN or Face ID/Touch ID so it stays hidden when someone else is using your device. Locked chats move to their own section, and unlike Temporary Chats you can come back to them any time. OpenAI says locking doesn't add end-to-end encryption, doesn't change how long chats are kept and doesn't change the "Improve the model for everyone" setting. What this means for you: it's handy if you share a phone or laptop, but it doesn't add any protection for your data on OpenAI's side. Source: TechCrunch.
