[fal](https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/fal-launches-flux-3-max-delivering-1-tier-image-to-video-quality-at-industry-leading-speeds-302913033.html) released FLUX 3 Max on Monday, built on Black Forest Labs' FLUX 3. It does text-to-video and image-to-video at 720p through [fal's](https://fal.ai/flux-3-max) API. On Artificial Analysis's preliminary image-to-video leaderboard it scores 1,139, tied for first with Seedance 2.5 and just behind MiniMax H3 at 1,141. [fal](https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/fal-launches-flux-3-max-delivering-1-tier-image-to-video-quality-at-industry-leading-speeds-302913033.html) says it makes a 10-second clip in about 11 to 12 seconds (its [release](https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/fal-launches-flux-3-max-delivering-1-tier-image-to-video-quality-at-industry-leading-speeds-302913033.html) says 10.95 and its [product page](https://fal.ai/flux-3-max) 12.45), compared with almost 278 seconds for Seedance 2.5. List price is $0.17 per second, about $1.70 per 10-second clip. It's 75% off until Nov 7, which works out to about 43 cents a clip. Billing is pay-per-second with no subscription, and [fal](https://fal.ai/flux-3-max) says commercial use is allowed.

*What this means for you:* the speed is the big change. You get about twenty tries in the time one Seedance clip takes. It's API-only, not an app with a [monthly plan like Kling](/posts/2026-10-19-ai-video-plans-10-30-100). The speed numbers are [fal's](https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/fal-launches-flux-3-max-delivering-1-tier-image-to-video-quality-at-industry-leading-speeds-302913033.html) own tests and the leaderboard is preliminary, so try your own prompts during the discount before switching.
