Cursor's iPhone app can now talk to agents running on your computer
Remote control, shipped October 6, lets the Cursor iOS app view and message local agents. The agents stay on your machine, which has to stay awake.

On October 6, Cursor added remote control for local agents: you can see and reply to agents running on your computer from the Cursor iOS app.
How it works
Sign in to the iOS app and your computers appear. Tap one and approve the pairing request in the Cursor desktop app. Your local agents then show up in a list, and you can open one to see what it is doing or send it a message.
Cursor says remote control does not move your agents anywhere. They keep running on your computer, and it does not require cloud agents. That means the computer has to stay on and online. A "Keep this computer awake" setting under Remote Control in desktop settings stops it from sleeping, but the machine needs to be plugged in with the lid open.
Who has it
It is on by default for everyone except Enterprise organizations. Enterprise admins can turn it on in Org settings > Security and identity > Remote control. The changelog names only the iOS app.
What it costs
The changelog does not mention a separate charge. Agent usage still draws on whatever plan you are on.
Should you use it
It suits long local runs you want to check on away from the desk. If your work already runs in Cursor's cloud agents, this does not change much for you.
